THE FIX UP’s self titled debut album is the antidote to boring dancefloors everywhere

The Fix Ups are a Melbourne based electro-synth-pop duo with lo-fi production and dreamy vocals. Marlene Samson and Nikos Shannon met whilst studying music and clicked instantly collaborating on musical projects. The two took flight and went on a 13,000km drive around America. Playing dive bars and DIY house gigs.

After returning home they teamed up with Ash Acid (CASH, The Ash Acid Experience) and released their self titled debut album. Paying homage to their electro funk rock American adventure. After spending the end of 2018 playing gigs as a band The Fix Ups are once again a duo.

Battling the tumultuous effects of severe mental health illness has pushed The Fix Ups to conjure up a new direction. Tenaciously sticking together, The Fix Ups are setting sail on a ship across the dark waves of synth pop and 80’s sounding beats. ‘Enter Your Soul’ is the result of a healing of the depths of human psyche.

Expect to more electronic realm from The Fix Ups. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Drama, Joe Goddard, Toro y moi, Men I Trust.

Playing They have played on festival lineups include Folk, Rhythm, and Life festival and Renaissance Festival. Tracks off their debut album gained radio airplay across Australia, and were the recipients of ‘Band of the Month’ on Emerging Indie Artists.
